Waldenström's macroglobulinemia is a rare type of cancer that my Grandmother is living with right now. She's a very important person in my life, she's like my mom since she's the one who raised me.

She's been living with it for about ten years now. She was very lucky they found it so early by chance in a blood test, she's still doing pretty well for having had it this long, but I see the effects and the scary thing is, I think genetics may play a part, too. Her brother was just diagnosed fairly recently. This means me and my dad could get this.

I've seen countless stamps for Breast Cancer and a small handful of them for Prostate Cancer, which is great, really, I support those too, but this is one of those little known Cancers that affects people in the same way, but doesn't get even a fraction of donations for research that they do. That's why I made this awareness stamp, there weren't any. Thanks for reading.
